1. About Us
Type Posters is an independent print studio based in the United Kingdom, selling custom Giclée art prints at www.typeposters.co.uk. References to "we", "us" or "our" in these terms refer to Type Posters.
By placing an order with us, you agree to these terms and conditions in full. Please read them carefully before purchasing.
2. Our Products
All prints sold by Type Posters are produced to order using professional Giclée printing techniques on premium archival materials. Because every order is custom-made specifically for you, please review your order carefully before confirming your purchase.
Colours & Screens
We take great care to represent our prints accurately online, but colours may appear slightly different on screen compared to the finished physical print. This is due to natural variation in monitor calibration and the nature of pigment-based printing, and does not constitute a fault or error.
Print Sizes
All dimensions stated on the product listing are approximate. Minor variations within standard industry tolerance are not considered defects.
3. Ordering
Placing an Order
When you place an order on our website, you are making an offer to purchase. Your order is confirmed once you receive an order confirmation email from us. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order at our discretion.
Custom & Personalised Orders
Where you provide specific content, text, dimensions or other personalisation details as part of your order, you are responsible for ensuring all information supplied is accurate. We will produce your print exactly as specified. We are not liable for errors resulting from incorrect information provided by you.
We may contact you to clarify details before production begins if anything is unclear.
Production Times
Each print is made to order. Estimated production times are displayed on the relevant product pages. These are estimates only and may vary during busy periods. We will notify you if there is a significant delay.
4. Pricing & Payment
All prices are displayed in British Pounds Sterling (GBP) and are inclusive of VAT where applicable. Delivery charges are calculated and shown at checkout before payment is taken.
Payment is processed securely via Shopify. We accept major credit and debit cards. Payment is taken at the time of order.
We reserve the right to update our prices at any time. Price changes will not affect orders that have already been confirmed.
5. Delivery
We deliver within the United Kingdom. Orders are dispatched once production is complete. You will receive a notification when your order has been shipped, along with any available tracking information.
Delivery timeframes are estimates and we cannot be held responsible for delays caused by third-party couriers or circumstances outside our control (including adverse weather, postal strikes or other disruptions).
Risk in the goods passes to you upon delivery.
6. Returns, Refunds & Cancellations
Custom-Made Products
Because all of our prints are produced specifically to order, they are exempt from the standard 14-day right to cancel under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. We are unable to accept returns or issue refunds simply because you have changed your mind.
Faulty or Damaged Items
We stand behind the quality of our prints. If your order arrives damaged in transit or there is a clear error in the print itself (for example, incorrect content, missing elements, or a significant production defect), please contact us within 14 days of delivery and we will put it right.
To raise a fault or damage claim, please email us at hello@typeposters.co.uk with:
- Your order number
- A description of the issue
- Clear photographs of the fault or damage (including the packaging where damage in transit is concerned)
Once we have reviewed your claim, we will offer either a replacement print or a full refund, at our discretion. We may ask you to return the faulty item before processing your resolution; if so, we will cover the cost of return postage.
Order Cancellations
Because production begins shortly after an order is placed, cancellations can only be accepted if requested before your print has entered production. Please contact us as soon as possible if you need to cancel. Once production has begun, we are unable to cancel or refund your order unless it falls under the fault/damage policy above.
Incorrect Delivery Address
We are not responsible for orders that cannot be delivered due to an incorrect address provided at checkout. Please double-check your delivery details carefully before placing your order.
7. Intellectual Property
All artwork, designs, imagery and content on this website are the intellectual property of Type Posters or their respective creators, and are protected by copyright. You may not reproduce, distribute or use any content from this site without our prior written consent.
Where a print is produced using content, artwork or text supplied by you, you confirm that you own the rights to that content or have the necessary permission to use it, and you indemnify us against any claim arising from the use of that content.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our liability to you in connection with any order is limited to the value of that order. We are not liable for any indirect, consequential or economic losses arising from your use of our website or products.
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other matter that cannot lawfully be excluded.
9. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising under these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
10. Your Statutory Rights
Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer under UK law.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version published on our website at the time of your order is the version that applies to that order. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
